basically it's a way to get folks to take pictures of their every-day life. for me it's a chance to get back into blogging a bit. i have found that i really don't have the time needed to be a "blogger" and i don't think i am nearly witty enough for it either.
i am taking my photo challenge picture with my cell phone, so the quality is basically crap. i refuse to lug around my giant dlsr camera. plus, i don't plan to stage any of the photos, just take them on the fly. i have the sign up at work and will check it each morning and focus on that item all day. weekends, we will just have to see what happens...
without further ado...day 1...my view today...
i had quite a few views throughout the day. first up is my desk at work
unfortunately i live in a long narrow cubie and can't get very far back from my computer screens to take the picture. there is a 2x2 foot post in the middle of my 1/2 of the cubie so i can't turn my desk the other way. i have adopted the post and we have a good relationship...there is never ever any "post dancing" that goes on. (pole dancing, get it?)
the other half of my cubie is shared with this guy
jeff is a great guy to share a cubie with and we have fun. usually i see the back of his head most of all, and his pictures of the beach in mexico.
i had to take a drive for a meeting in kirkland in the morning...it was a rainy nasty seattle morning and traffic sucked!
it was stop and go the whole way, but i made it to my meeting on time!
the rest of the work day was pretty uneventful. i got a huge surprise when i got home tho...there was nobody there!!
(that's my empty living room) as a working mom with a husband who is a stay home daddy (and dealing with an auto-immune disease) i never ever get the house to myself. ever. i stood there breathing in the solitude for a few minutes, then i got crackin!
i decided to paint in my kitchen a bit. i started painting it way back in october (i think) and haven't been back at it since. it's been partially painted for months. it's still partially painted but more than it was yesterday!
i couldn't reach any higher with my stepladder so that's as good as it gets for now. i have some serious crap-editing to do in there in the next few months!
everyone came home and invaded my short-lived solitude. we had dinner and spent some time doing miscellaneous junk around the house and then it was time to get ready for bed (we're really early to bed at our house!)
i snapped a pic of my shorty while she was eating her snack. i don't know what she was trying to do or what she was looking at, but here she is...
i lied. that's her dinner in the background. the bean child actually cooked dinner (it was the best way to keep her from helping with my painting!)
so, anyone else taking pictures? wanna join me in my adventures?
