february photo a day--day 2

here we are on day 2 of the photo a day challenge for february (found at fatmumslim)

today was a hard one for me.  i chatted with myself all day about how do i take a picture of "words"???  they say a picture is worth a thousand words, but i just don't have many of those experiences on a regular thursday!

i have really been into the subway art craze lately, which is basically word art.  i even worked on one durning my lunch (not gonna post it because it's a gift and i don't want to ruin the surprise)

i snapped this picture of a sign hanging above my desk at work:

crappy picture, yes, but you can read it.  it's something i am trying to do more of in my everyday life...metaphorically speaking.  focus on the good and let the sun shine in.  a really uninspired entry for the day.

so i thought some more about "words" as i was driving home.  i was eastbound on the boeing freeway and took the ramp for north i-5.  if you've never taken that particular ramp on a clear day, i highly advise you do.  the ramp goes down into a tunnel underneath part of the interchange and then takes you up to the highest point of the interchange before swinging you down onto i-5.  at the highest point, on a clear day you can see mountains all around you.  well, as far around you as you can safely look and still drive at 60mph.  the snow was covering about half way down and i thought "there are no words" (see where i am going now?).  it's such a beautiful view...very hard to photograph tho, so i have no picture.

i drove on continuing to think about "words" and started to think of all the funny things that kids say...

when shorty is looking for something she says "where ears it?"  (she just turned 3)

bean went thru a stage where she said "dang it nabs" instead of "dagnabbit".  i still say "dang it nabs" cuz it's so darn cute!

both girls went thru a stage saying "ting tang walla walla bing bang".  shorty is saying it now.  i have no idea where it originally came from, but they get it from my mom, so i think it must be from before my time!

my day progressed until i went down off our mountain to meet beans school bus.  she stepped off the bus looking like this:

and i am back to "there are no words!"
